Get bite-size learning to help you meet Social Work England’s CPD requirements

With Social Work England’s registration renewal period now well underway, all social workers need to ensure they submit two pieces of continuing professional development (CPD)* to meet the regulator’s requirements by 30 November 2025.
To help you achieve this, Community Care Inform has launched its Habit of Learning Autumn Challenge, to provide subscribing practitioners with bite-size learning – designed to fit in with your busy working lives – on key topics in adults’ and children’s services.
If you sign up, you will receive an introductory email followed by eight 10-minute lessons on your chosen topic, delivered to your inbox over a three-week period.
Children’s practitioners can choose from courses in attachment, child sexual exploitation or sexual abuse, while those working adults’ services can select from dementia, mental capacity or the Care Act 2014.
The courses open to anyone with an Inform licence and are applicable to practitioners who are not registered social workers as well as those who work in Wales (with the exception of the course on the Care Act).
If you have a subscription to Community Care Inform Children, sign up for the Autumn Challenge here.
Users of Community Care Inform Adults can sign up for a course here.
*One of the two pieces of CPD must have been reflected upon with a peer, under Social Work England’s requirements. Social workers must also pay the renewal fee – now £120 – and complete the application form by the deadline – 30 November 2025 – to successfully retain their right to practise.
